This Privacy Policy explains how Budget Kapda (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or purchase products from us.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable Indian laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By accessing or using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

• Account information: your name, email address (optional), and mobile number — used for sign-up, login, and One-Time-Password (OTP) verification.
• Delivery addresses: full name, phone, house/flat, street/area, landmark, city, state and pincode for each saved address.
• Order information: products purchased, sizes/colours, quantities, prices, coupons used, order status, and invoices.
• Payment data: we do not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials. Online payments are processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant gateway partner (see “Payments”). We only retain the transaction ID, payment mode and payment status.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and improve it.
• Communications: messages you send us through email, contact forms, or product reviews.

• Process, fulfil and deliver your orders and send related order/shipping updates.
• Authenticate your account via OTP and maintain a secure login session.
• Provide customer support and respond to queries, complaints or return requests.
• Improve our website, products and services based on usage analytics.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, chargebacks and unauthorised access.
• Comply with applicable laws, tax regulations and legal obligations.
• Send transactional SMS/email (order updates, OTPs) — these are essential and cannot be opted out of.
• Send occasional promotional updates — only with your consent, and you may opt out anytime.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share your data only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent necessary:

• Razorpay Software Private Limited — our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partner, used to securely process online payments (UPI, cards, net-banking, wallets). Your payment details are submitted directly to Razorpay and governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Logistics / courier partners — we share the recipient name, delivery address and contact number needed to deliver your order.
• SMS / email service providers — to send OTPs, order confirmations and shipment updates.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — to host our application and store product images and invoices.
• Legal and regulatory authorities — only when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

All online payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-regulated, PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment aggregator. When you pay online:

• You interact with Razorpay’s secure payment interface.
• Your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking credentials are submitted directly to Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.
• We receive only a payment confirmation (transaction ID, amount, status, payment mode).
• Refunds, where applicable, are processed back to the original payment method via Razorpay per our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

• Account data — as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Order & invoice records — retained for the period required under Indian tax and accounting laws (GST, Income Tax Act).
• Session tokens & OTPs — deleted automatically after expiry (OTPs within 10 minutes).
• Marketing preferences — retained until you opt out.

We use a minimal set of cookies / local storage:

• Essential — to keep you logged in and remember your cart. The site will not function without these.
• Functional — to remember your preferences (e.g. selected filters).

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You may clear cookies anytime via your browser, but doing so may log you out and empty your cart.

• All communication between your browser and our servers happens over HTTPS / TLS encryption.
• OTPs expire after 10 minutes and are limited to a small number of verification attempts.
• Sensitive identifiers and refresh tokens are stored securely.
• Access to customer data is limited to authorised personnel for legitimate business purposes.
• Regular security reviews and timely application of critical patches.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct your name, email or addresses from your account page.
• Request deletion of your account and data (subject to legal/tax-record retention).
• Opt out of promotional messages.
• Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on your consent.
• Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see below).

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Please review this page periodically.
